Mastodon ?
There''s no standard for this. If I recall, Mastodon's replies are only one branch of the conversation and you need to do multiple fetches to get the entire conversation. I work on the streams repository. We use 'context' which designates an entire conversation (streams is a conversational platform) and fetching it provides what I call the "container" -- a collection of everything seen by the initiator of the conversation -- all related branches and nodes. I'm not personally aware of any other implementations, but I think there are a couple of projects that have implemented a Mastodon style replies collection.
