Just to warn you,
friendica also doesn't respect our permissions, but instead follows the laws of the mastoverse, for example can comment here even if doesn't have permission. Maybe it's a problem with ActivityPub, or how it's configured in friendica.

Friendica had sensible comment permissions when I was at the helm, and ditched them for easier compatibility with other software some years ago.

From my other streams channel having just ActivityPub connections I can see the friendica comment,
somehow it gets into my server, but through ActivityPub

Friendica today is very different, if aesthetically it still recalls something of the old days,
for the rest it is much more similar to the mastoverse unfortunately.
